Journalism has always been a huge part of my life...I remember being a little kid, my nose practically pressed against the tv screen watching the 11 o'clock news. (No, my parents didn't let me stay up that late. I snuck out of bed to see it! Sorry Mom and Dad!) My family and I moved from Upstate New York to Austin when I was 13, and I've come to think of this unique and quirky city as my second hometown.
I was lucky enough to get my first job in news right here in Austin, working for a local radio station, and after that, landed at KVUE, where I anchor KVUE News Weekend and report three days a week. I also get to do a consumer segment called "Does it Work Wednesday," which I really enjoy.
I've been in this business for more than 15 years...won quite a few awards and accolades along the way, and met everyone from the President of the United States to the man who works behind the counter at my favorite restaurant. And I've enjoyed every moment. I'm lucky enough to work with a great group of people.
Journalism -- this is what I do. And I'm proud to do it for KVUE.
