X Games Austin starts at COTA

AUSTIN -- Day two of X Games Austin started Friday at noon at the Circuit of the Americas.

Friday's competitions include BMX, street skateboarding, Moto X and the skateboard "Big Air" contest.

Friday's music lineup will include bands like Slightly Stoopid, Black Pistol Fire, Dillon Francis and Pretty Lights.

FULL LINEUP: X Games Austin competition and music

Day one of Austin's first ever X Games ended with Gov. Rick Perry handing out the first medals to the winners of the BMX Vert and the Skateboard Vert at the competition kickoff outside the Capitol Thursday night.

On Thursday, Jimmy Wilkins took home gold in the Skateboard Vert, with Sandro Dias and Mitchie Brusco coming in second and third. Jamie Bestwick took home his ninth consecutive X Games gold medal in the BMX Vert competition. Simon Tabron came in second place and Dennis McCoy came in third.
