Mack Brown says his team was embarrassed on Saturday in the upset loss to UCLA.... he says that a group of about ten Longhorns did play well, including Aaron Williams... the Longhorns were stopped on two 4th down pass plays and Mack says it's "foolish to be aggressive if you don't make 'em".... DJ Monroe could start against Oklahoma, after leading the team in rushing against UCLA, including 31 yards after contact... Fozzy Whittaker will continue to see a lot of playing time because he's great at pass protection... Mack says there were 18 missed assignments against the Bruins... He says "Great teams step up and answer".... He makes the Horns live by a 24 hour rule, and can't talk about that game anymore... He says they "won't forget UCLA, but must move forward".... The Horns have lost back to back games under Mack Brown only four times in 13 years...

Mack says Oklahoma's offense has two big playmakers in DeMarco Murray and Ryan Broyles... the defense has two great ends in Jeremy Beal and Frank Alexander... OU blitzes about 21% of the time, but that figure could be misleading because it was similar last year and the Sooners blitzed much more than that against Texas... James Kirkendoll says "everyone knows what's on the line" against Oklahoma...

Aaron Williams says it's "an eye opener" when the Longhorns lose. He and other juniors on the team have only lost three games in three years... Williams loves the corner blitz, sacking UCLA QB Kevin Prince and causing a fumble on Saturday... last year a corner blitz knocked Sam Bradford out of the game for OU...

Greg Davis explained the play calls on two 4th down failures by Texas against UCLA... he says the first, a pass to Barrett Matthews, was a check down and Matthews was the third receiver that quarterback Garrett Gilbert looked at... the other, a 4th and 4 pass to John Chiles that gained only three yards, was supposed to be a five yard route, but Chiles was forced to turn in after only three yards...
