After losing only two home games in his first five years as head coach at Texas (Both in 1999 to NC State and Kansas State), Mack Brown has now lost 10 of his last 20 games at DKR Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Longhorns have started a season 1-2 six other times in the last 50 years:   1967, 1987, 1989, 1991, 1992 and 1998.  They only went to bowl games in 1987 and 1998.

Mack Brown says he’s “disappointed” and wants to “get it fixed”.  But he wants to “stay positive” and not “blame the fans”.

Mack Brown is 2-7 against Kansas State while coaching the Longhorns, losing the last five meetings.

Mack hopes for improvement from his defense, with Greg Robinson getting a full week to work on things after replacing Manny Diaz.

ABC is televising the game with it’s “A” team of Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit.

Carrington Byndom says, for some reason, the defense loses its intensity.  “People just get complacent. We just have to stay focused on the goal ahead and make sure we go out there and they're going to make adjustment and we need to do the same and get the job done."

Case McCoy is now 3-4 as a starting quarterback for Texas.  David Ash will be evaluated on Tuesday to see if he’s able to practice and play.
