The Longhorns have lost back to back games for only the 5th time under Mack Brown... It also happened in 1998, 1999, 2006, and 2007... 1999 was the only season when the Horns lost three in a row, losing to Texas A&M, Nebraska, and Arkansas... Stats tell the tale for the struggling Longhorns, with the UT offense #74 in the nation in total offense, # 81 in rushing offense, and #79 in scoring offense. That's out of 120 major college teams.

The Longhorns have seven regular season games remaining, with six of the teams in the Big 12... those six teams are a combined 22-4, with three of them undefeated.

The last time Texas was out of the 25 in the AP rankings was October of 2000... they lost to Oklahoma 63-14 to drop out and stayed out the next week after a win over Colorado.

Will things change for Texas? Mack Brown says "We'll go back and regroup and look at all the things we're doing that we like and look at the things that need to change."

The Horns have made lots of mental mistakes, including the nine penalties against Oklahoma... receiver James Kirkendoll says they're playing with their hearts and not with their heads... Kheeston Randall calls it a "lack of discipline"...

UT's game at Nebraska on October 16th has been picked up by ABC... kickoff at 2:30...

Thanks to everybody who joined in our live chat on Monday on kvue.com. We're planning to do it again on Tuesday, October 12th at noon.
