Coach Mark Turgeon has spent eight seasons at Wichita State.

Turgeon, who visited College Station Monday, was scheduled to return to Wichita and meet with his players before an announcement was made, the sources said. The Wichita Eagle reported on its Web site that the team was slated to gather at 10 p.m.

Turgeon took a chartered flight from Wichita to College Station Monday morning and was picked up at the airport by athletic director Bill Byrne, who gave him and his wife a tour of the basketball facilities.
