Pflugerville alum, head coach leads program back to state

The Pflugerville Lady Panthers have their eyes on a first State trophy in seven tournament appearances.

Few understand the Pflugerville girls basketball tradition than head coach April Hundl.

Before becoming head coach of the Lady Panthers, Hundl was an assistant to longtime Pflugerville coach, Nancy Walling. Before that, Hundl was one of Walling's players and part of the state tournament team in the early 90's.

Today, Hundl has the program back in the final four. The Lady Panthers will face Cypress Ranch in the state semi-final round, Friday at 7 p.m. at the Alamodome in San Antonio.
