The NCAA and Texas A&M University made a deal Wednesday suspending Johnny Manziel for half a game, to be served this Saturday in their game against Rice.
A statement put out by the NCAA and the university stated there was no evidence Manziel received money in exchange for autographs, based on currently available information and statements by Manziel.
Due to an inadvertent violation regarding the signing of certain autographs, the university declared Manziel ineligible.
After Wednesday's decision, university President R. Bowen Loftin spoke with KENS 5's CBS affiliate KBTX in College Station. He said he is happy this is over.
