AUSTIN -- The city is getting a little bit bigger.
Austin's annexation of part of Southeast Travis County, including the Circuit of the Americas track, becomes official on Monday. The acquisition covers more than 1,500 acres.
The race track alone is expected to add $200 million to the city's tax base, which is expected to bring about $16 million in taxes to the city over a 25-year period.
