The informal Tuesday Nighter World Championship Loop

This is the course that has hosted many a race on Tuesdays during daylight savings. It’s a great +/-9 mile loop relatively free from traffic on some nice smooth roads with a few small climbs well spaced. You can park on the “start” of the loop or at the HEB at Wm. Cannon and I-35, or ride to it through town if you like.

Difficulty-3

Go East on Wm Cannon and turn right on Salt Springs(after the road narrows and widens up again)

The loop starts at the corner of Salt Springs and Thaxton Rd.

Follow Thaxton until it gets to Old Lockhart Road and turn right. You will have now completed 3 of the 4 hills on the course.

Proceed on Old Lockhart to Bluff Springs and turn right.

Bluff Springs turns back into Thaxton after 2 right hand bends.

In addition, Old Lockhart runs all the way up to Wm. Cannon behind the HEB. Convenient for getting back to town, or back to the car.
