What is it about playing receiver for the Cowboys? I thought when Terrell Owens left town the position would thrive. Now we've got Roy Williams taking shots at his quarterback.
Williams was supposed to take over the primary receiver's role after T.O. left. It hasn't happened. Miles Austin has played great since joining the starting line-up against the Chiefs and the Cowboys have won three games in a row. Shouldn't that be the most important thing.
Williams told ESPN.com that he and Tony Romo aren't on the same page. He claims that Romo throws Austin good passes while Roy gets bad ones. What is this, 7th grade? It sounds a lot like the claims Owens was making about Romo and Jason Witten last season. I'm pretty sure Romo doesn't really care who catches the passes as long as they are caught and his team is winning. His team has been winning lately and that's the bottom line.
You don't become a #1 receiver because you say you are the #1 receiver. You become the #1 receiver because you play like a #1 receiver. It's pretty clear who the #1 receiver is in Dallas these days and he didn't play college ball in Austin, his last name is Austin.
