We've all been there. Somewhere, sometime, we've won something.
Maybe it was a big award.
Maybe it was a game of checkers.
Winning is great. But that means at least one person lost. And those "losers" are now gunning for you.
The Texas basketall team has experienced that the last nine days. Nine glorious days of being number one. Nine tough days of having the entire college basketball world gunning for them.
And Kansas State showed they can be gunned down.
The Big Monday loss will drop Texas from #1. Even if they beat UConn on Saturday, I've seen one expert drop them all the way to 5th.
But maybe that loss will help the Horns get a little tougher... a little more "thick skinned"... so they can be ready for the next time they get to the top of the rankings.
And the way this college basketball season is going, that could be pretty soon.
