Leander's I.S.D. opened the doors to Rouse High School 5-years ago in 2008. The Raiders football program opted to not play a full varsity schedule for the 1st two seasons, only sub-varsity.

In 2010, Rouse was winless in their 1st campaign a varsity program. Year two (2011), the Raiders finished 2-7-1. Year three has been an amazing turnaround. 6-4 in the regular season. Rouse advanced to the 4A-I playoffs after finishing 3-3 in district play.

Make that 10-4, after 4-straight playoff wins. Winning each playoff game by an average margin of 31 points per game. Now, only Georgetown stands in the Raiders way of playing for a state title.
