The Longhorn play at West Virginia on Saturday.  It will be Mack Brown's first ever visit to Morgantown.

West Virginia has won both meetings with the Horns, but by the slimmest of margins.  A 7-6 win in 1956 and last year's 48-45 shootout.  Last year's game had the 9th most combined points of any game in UT history.

Seven different UT players have a catch of 45 yards or more this season.

The Longhorns are staying 45 minutes away from the stadium in West Virginia and that's one reason why they won't have a walk thru at the stadium on Friday.  Mack Brown says they may arrive 30 minutes early on Saturday because of that.

The Longhorns still have a perfect record in Big 12 play, but face top challengers Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Baylor the last three weeks of the season.  Mack Brown compares it to the NFL playoffs.

West Virginia was known for an explosive offense last year with Tavon Austin and Geno Smith.  This year the Mountaineers offense is more ground oriented.  Five weeks ago that would've spelled trouble for Texas but the Horns defense continue to rise in the national rankings.  From #117 in rushing defense on October 5th to the current #90.

The Longhorns are #26 in both the writers' and coaches' polls.  Not being in the top-25 doesn't bother the players.  Quandre Diggs says it "makes us hungry".
