Charlie Munson is an Austin sports legend.

He was a multi-sports star at Austin High School, played football and baseball at Texas then left early to serve his country in World War II. Munson returned to UT after the war to finish his eligibility. He helped lead the Longhorns baseball program to it's 1st national championship in baseball.

Since retiring in 1981, Munson has worked in some form or fashion for the UT athletics department and still does.
