Halloween of 2013 was a day many in Austin would like to forget. A foot of rain fell in short period of time and caused major flooding.
Poor drainage from Halloween's deluge at Anderson High School caused water to back up and over a quarter-of-an-inch of water on the main gym's floor was the result.
Since then the Anderson basketball coaches and administrators have met with insurance adjustors, Austin Independent School District officials to resolve the damage from the flooding.
All of the basketball teams from Anderson High School had to share the school's small gym for practice, utilize a nearby church, and have played their home games at the Delco Center.
The floor was repaired and other damage was repaired.
Friday night was a much anticipated evening. The boys teams hosted Bowie for Anderson's 1st game since October.
