NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Hornets have activated All-Star forward
Jamal Mashburn, and he might play for the first time this season
tomorrow night.
He's been out since hurting his right knee early in training camp. He
had surgery and has missed all eight preseason games and 44
regular-season games.
The Hornets are 25-19 without him, tied for third in the Central
Division.
Mashburn led the team last season in scoring, averaging about 21.5
points per game. To make room on the roster, the Hornets put reserve
guard Bryce Drew on the injured list.
