The Aggies appear to be in good shape at quarterback regardless. Sophomore Jerrod Johnson is coming off a 31-of-39 effort with 381 yards and four touchdowns in the 49-35 victory at Iowa State.
Freshman running back Cyrus Gray, a former DeSoto standout, had two kickoff returns for 53 yards and has a school-record 650 yards this season.
