Shoulder injuries leave Texas A&M QB spot unclear

By BILL NICHOLS / The Dallas Morning News

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Aggies do not know who will start at quarterback on Saturday against Oklahoma State. Much will depend on how Stephen McGee and Jerrod Johnson respond to injuries.

McGee started against Army, but re-injured his right (throwing) shoulder just before halftime. Jerrod Johnson, his replacement, also hurt his right shoulder later on. Johnson, who practiced Sunday, said his shoulder felt "better than last week."

"Stephen McGee's injury wasn't quite as severe as it was after the New Mexico game, but it's still a recurring injury, so there's some concern there," coach Mike Sherman said.
