Running back Bradley Stephens and freshman receiver Jeff Fuller of McKinney Boyd had big plays during Thursday's scrimmage.

"I didn't script it that way necessarily," coach Mike Sherman said. "They just stepped up. In this offense, anybody can be a receiver."

About 1,500 fans watched the Aggies' evening scrimmage at Kyle Field. Sherman has opened preseason practices to present and former students.

"It's the fans' football team, and they got a chance to see it," Sherman said. "And I think our players benefited from it to see such a great crowd out here."
