What is it? a de-shedding tool for dogs and cats

What does it claim? that it will help you reduce shedding by up to 90 percent without irritating your pet's skin

Who tested it?  Norfolk resident and dog owner Marcus Zeal

What Are The Instructions? The first thing you need to do is thoroughly inspect your dog's skin and coat. Also consult your veterinarian about any skin sores or conditions before using the ShedMonster.

Once you're ready, use the ShedMonster to brush through the coat using long, gentle strokes in the direction of the dog's hair growth.  Only the smooth rounded edges of the ShedMonster brush should contact the skin while in use.  Pull slowly through mats and tangles.  If necessary, repeat use in the same area.

It's important to note that repeated usage in the same areas may cause thinning of the coat.

A few other important things to note about the ShedMonster.  Avoid using it around sensitive areas like the ears, legs, paws or genital regions.  The internal edges of the teeth are sharp.

When not in use, be sure to keep the ShedMonster away from pets and children

Did it work? Zeal really liked it.  Charlie usually runs when when it's time for a brush, but with the ShedMonster, he sat still and Zeal was able to remove a lot of hair.

Cost/Availability? You can purchase the ShedMonster at Bed Bath and Beyond for $14.99.
