Meteorologist
Mother Nature’s beauty and unforgiving power has always fascinated me. In May of 1997, I was visiting my grandparents in Bastrop. We were glued to the television as reports of a destructive tornado hit the community of Jarrell. Days later, I had the opportunity of making the trip north to see the aftermath of this F-5 monster. It was a powerful experience and a major reason why I became a meteorologist.
I was born and raised in Beeville, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Geosciences/Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University and a Bachelor of Arts in communication in media studies from Texas A&M.
Before coming to Kvue in October 2009, I was the Chief Meteorologist at KZTV in Corpus Christi. While forecasting for South Texas, I earned Seals of Approval from both the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
