AUSTIN -- You might be in for some big traffic delays over the next two weeks or so.

That's because the next phase of the 34th Street Reconstruction Project takes form and will impact Lamar Blvd. Only one lane of traffic will be open both northbound and southbound from 32nd to 35th Streets.

Crews are repairing broken water lines along Lamar. Work started Saturday and will last about two weeks.

There will also be delays along I-35 at Stassney as crews make repairs to the overpass which was damaged in July.

TxDOT says the damage was caused when a semi slammed into it but the accident didn't affect the safety and structure of the bridge.

Repairs will be mostly cosmetic and take about two-and-half weeks to finish.

The total cost of repairs will be about $85 thousand.
