AUSTIN - A teen girl was seriously injured when they were struck by a train near Crockett High School in South Austin on Friday morning.
Police and Austin-Travis County EMS said the collision happened along West Stassney Lane just east of Rose Hill Circle around 5:10 a.m. Friday. EMS said the teen is conscious and has injuries to her lower extremities.
EMS added she is being taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center with serious injuries, and that she is expected to be okay. West Stassney reopened to traffic around 6:45 a.m.
