Imagine losing up to three inches or dropping three pant sizes by Christmas. A brand new cellulite treatment called VelaShape claims it can tighten your skin and trim inches in less than a month.

Karen Richards, 59, is taking control of what she considers an unsightly problem.

“The skin texture, cellulite, loose skin -- it's unattractive, and I don't want to have it anymore,” said Richards.

So she's trying a brand new treatment called VelaShape.

Laser technician, Danielle Knizeski says it was only very recently approved by the FDA to treat cellulite and trim inches, and that it’s much stronger than other cellulite treatments.

Knizesky says it's supposed to be able to help you lose up to three inches or three pant sizes in a month.

“Passing eight pulses at a time, it uses a suction pulsing up, so the radio frequency, the patented elos technology, which is infrared light, in radio frequency, can reach down deep into her fatty layers, eliminating and dissolving fat,” said Knizesky. She uses the larger head to smooth out cellulite.

“Using the balls, it's able to work as if you're giving a lymphatic drainage massage, something like that, where it goes not as deep as the body contouring and it's able to hit all the cellulite on the top,” said Knizesky.

“I felt heat sometimes. I can't say it was uncomfortable,” said Richards.

Richards says the treatment was painless, and after just one treatment, she's noticed a change.

“I did see a difference, but it was very mild,” said Richards.

Experts recommend anywhere from three to five treatments for optimal results. Each treatment costs about 400 dollars.
