An Austin man was one of six convicted sex offenders arrested in Texas for parole violations on Halloween night this year, according to the Texas Attorney General's Office.

Larry Miller, Jr.

Larry Miller, Jr., 37 was taken into custody November 3 for not being at his residence on Halloween night. Miller was convicted in 1986 of aggravated sexual assault of a child.

The arrests were part of the state's Halloween crackdown on sexual predators.

“Operation Safe Halloween targeted convicted sex offenders who violated their parole on Halloween night,” Attorney General Greg Abbott said in a news release. “With young Texans out trick-or-treating, these sexual predators were under specific orders governing their Halloween night activities.”

According to the Attorney General's Office, four convicted sex offenders were arrested in the Houston area and one in Dallas.
