Austin police Wednesday released a description of the vehicle suspected in the hit and run death of a woman walking in the bicycle lane of a Northwest Austin street in July.

Detectives say Linda O'Bryan, 58, was walking in the bicycle lane on Steck Avenue near Summer Side Drive around 10:30 p.m. on July 15, when she was hit by a Blue Chevrolet or GMC pickup, made between 1992 to 1998.

The suspect's car hit a pole and should have substantial damage to the front right passenger side of the car.

A person driving by saw the woman down in the middle of the road and called 911. Austin-Travis County EMS performed CPR and transported O'Bryan to University Medical Center at Brackenridge where she was later pronounced dead.

If you have any information call CrimeStoppers at 472-TIPS.
