A Travis County judge Tuesday ordered officials with NYOS (Not Your Ordinary School) to give a deposition and reveal their findings in connection with the death of a student found at the school earlier this year.

The family of the student, 7-year-old Tevin Park-Flowers, took legal action against the North Austin school after they say the school refused to answer additional questions about the incident.

It happened January 30. A school administrator says Tevin took a bathroom break during an assembly in the school gym. The gym teacher found him unconscious, hanging from a coat hook by his shirt. A teacher came in next and performed CPR. Tevin died two days later. A preliminary police investigation concluded that no foul play was involved and that his death was accidental. Tevin's death certificate reflects those findings.

But the boy's parents say they want more answers that can come only from the school.

Chair of the NYOS Governing Council, Susana Hildebrand, told KVUE News earlier this month that school officials have revealed what they can legally and cannot discuss anything more with Tevin's parents because they don't want to jeopardize the police investigation.

Police have also refused to speak about the case.
