Longhorns move into top 5

After a wild college football weekend that saw four of the nation's top ten lose, the Oklahoma Sooners have assumed the top spot in the three major polls. Texas moves to number five in the polls following Saturday's 52-10 victory over Arkansas.

Missouri joins OU and UT in the top five, giving the Big 12 three top five teams. Texas plays Oklahoma October 11 in Dallas, and meets Missouri the following Saturday in Austin. Texas Tech enters the top ten this week as well.

This is the first Harris Interactive Poll of the season. The Coaches' Poll and the Harris Poll factor into the Bowl Championship Series rankings which come out October 19. The A.P. Poll is not included in the BCS rankings.
