Student charged after fight at football game

An LBJ High School football player is facing serious charges after hitting a police officer during a post game melee.
It happened last month following a junior varisity football game between LBJ and Cameron High School.
A police officer, not in uniform, working security at the game got involved when he thought the crowd was getting out of control. He says players from both teams clashed after the game.
The 16-year-old LBJ student is charged with assault on a public servant after hitting the officer in the face and breaking his nose.
