After nearly ten years of helping domestic violence victims get back on
their feet, an Austin thrift store closed its doors for good this
weekend.
Thrift-Place officially closed their Airport Boulevard store tonight.
The shop was run by Safe-Place, a local shelter dedicated to helping
domestic violence victims.
All of the thrift store's profits were used to buy things for Safe-Place
clients.
A changing market, low sales and increasing operational costs were all
factors in the store's decision to close.
