An Austin firefighter fired after he was accused of viewing pornography while on duty filed his appeal Tuesday morning.
Lt. Christopher Giberson was indefinitely suspended over allegations including looking at pornography on duty and sexually harassing a co-worker.
Acting AFD Fire Chief Jim Evans cited more than 15 offenses within the last two years in his memo concerning Giberson.
Giberson denies the charges.
In his appeal to the Civil Service Commission, he requested a hearing before a third party hearings examiner.
He is a 14-year veteran of the Austin Fire Department.
