The former director of the Austin Convention Center Friday pleaded guilty to tampering with governmental records, according to officials with the Travis County District Attorney's Office.
Don Robert Hodge was accused of falsifying Quality of Service surveys that were submitted to the Austin Convention Center between October 2005 and February 2007. The surveys are used to figure out performance pay for Convention Center employees.
Hodge pleaded guilty to five counts of tampering with a governmental record.
Travis County District Judge Bob Perkins sentenced him to two years deferred adjudication and was ordered to pay $4,000.
Hodge must also write a public letter of apology and complete 120 hours of community service for restitution.
