03:14 PM CDT on Thursday, May 15, 2008
A man was killed at a Georgetown construction site Thursday morning.
Georgetown city officials say it happened at the Chatsworth Products plant on S. Austin Avenue around 9:15 a.m.
They say the 40-year-old Austin man was doing subcontract work when he was pinned between a building wall and a forklift. He suffered major injuries, and despite efforts to save him, died at the site.
Georgetown police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating.
So far no charges have been filed.
