Travis County voters have little time to decide who they want as District Attorney. Election Day is Tuesday and both candidates are pushing their campaign hard as the hours click down.

The seat is down to two names, Rosemary Lehmberg and Mindy Montford. The two are facing off in a run-off race, but many voters are still undecided. Both candidates know there are still unclaimed voters and spent the final campaign weekend to get their name out.

“I think a lot of folks want to vote and they want to participate. We've got to just let them know when the election is and why we're the best candidate,” said Montford.

It took more than just putting signs up across town.

“We're phone calling, we're block walking, activities, all kinds of campaign activities,” said Lehmberg.

The Montford office is doing the same. The extra hands-on approach is working for some voters.

“I think that's really important especially if you're working and representing all of us here in town,” said voter John Martinez.

Montford and Lehmberg each had fans on the streets showing support.

“I like Mindy because she's just a down-to-earth person and she's honest and I believe she'll stand for what she says she will,” said voter, Janice Robinson.

“Rosemary, she's a really strong candidate, and I'm pretty confident that she's what Austin needs," said voter, Diego Gonzalez Joven.

Whoever wins the race will be the most powerful prosecutor in Texas. By law, it is only the Travis County District Attorney who can criminally investigate state officials.
