Search crews Thursday found the body of a woman who disappeared while camping Wednesday night at Pace Bend Park, west of Austin on Lake Travis.

Officials say Denise Morgan, 36, was found in the water not far from her campsite. The Travis County Sheriff's Office took over the investigation.

Investigators say it appears she fell down a 15-17 foot cliff. the medical examiner is expected to rule on the cause of death.

Her husband called Travis County authorities when he couldn't find her. He said told investigators they were camping and Morgan wandered off to use the restroom. Shortly after being called about 40 law enforcement officers were on the scene.

Search crews say Morgan is diabetic.

"She does have a few medical problems, and that is concerning to us with the temperature tonight," said Corey Ricketson, Travis County EMS.

Dive teams began helping in the search early Thursday morning. An Austin Police Department helicopter, police dogs and all terrain vehicles were also part of the search team.
