Researchers warn against Plavix and aspirin together

Studies have shown time and time again that aspirin can lessen the severity of a heart attack. But when taken with blood thinners, it can actually be dangerous. At an American College of Cardiology conference Sunday, researchers urged people taking the blood thinner Plavix on top of aspirin to stop. They found that the combination almost doubled the risk of death, heart attack or stroke for those with conditions such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
