A pedestrian was hit by three cars in North Austin Thursday morning, and police say one driver did not stop. It happened in the 8500 block of Burnet Road in North Austin.

Investigators say a pick up truck headed south on Burnet Road entered the center turning lane around 7 a.m. and was about to enter a business parking lot.

That's when police say the truck hit a man in his mid 40's who was walking in the center lane.

The force of the impact knocked the man into the northbound lanes of traffic where he was struck by another pick up truck and then a small, white, four-door sedan.

The driver of the white sedan did not stop to render aid and continued northbound on Burnet Road.

Police are trying to track down the driver of that car.

The pedestrian, whose name was not released, was rushed to Brackenridge Hospital with life-threatening injuries. At last report, he was listed in critical condition.
