T-Mobile is dropping contracts and picking up iPhones. Beginning next month users can go month to month so, as the company's CEO said Tuesday, "if we suck this month, drop us."

T-Mobile will also begin selling the iPhone 4, 4s, and 5.

You can get the iPhone 5 for a $99 down payment and 24 monthly payments of $20.

While we're talking about Apple products, there were a variety of new gadgets on display at SXSW for iPhones and iPads, including new ways to protect them.

For most of us dropping your phone or tablet in water is a nightmare. Unless that is, you're Lifeproofed.

Lifeproof is a company producing waterproof and shockproof cases for iPhones, iPads, and soon for the Android Galaxy S3.

"They are actually built to military specifications. So if you think about it, if it's good enough for the military, it's probably good enough for you and I and our everyday lives," Lifeproof Communications Director Barbara Meyer said.

Meyer described the method used to seal the cases as similar to Tupperware. How good does it work? One man used his iPad in the Gulf of Mexico after a plane crash. Video of his ordeal is posted on the company’s website.

The people at Lifeproof say their cases can take a drop from more than six feet or simply be used to shoot pictures and video underwater.

Every case is tested before it leaves the factory. They start at $80.
