AUSTIN -- A new opportunity has been given for homeless people to make money during South By Southwest.
Austin area businesses have come together to launch "Street Treats." Homeless Austinites will pedal through the streets, selling frozen items.
Each treat costs $1. Homeless workers get to keep 100 percent of their money earned.
They will be selling chocolate fudge bars, strawberry fruit bars, rainbow freeze, ice cream sandwiches and the vanilla country cone.
