AUSTIN -- Austin police are trying to track down dozens of stolen South by Southwest wristbands.
Seventy-seven turquoise "artist" wristbands were stolen from the Austin Convention Center Tuesday.
APD and SXSW organizers say they have been working diligently to deactivate the microchips associated with the stolen wristbands.
Police warn against purchasing wristbands from scalpers.
Anybody who may have purchased wristbands with serial numbers 1-3323 to 1-3400 should call 9-1-1 immediately.
