Vigil for Texas A&M-Commerce basketball stars who died in crash

The Texas A&M-Commerce community is coming together to mourn the loss of two classmates.

A vigil was held Wednesday night for Aubree Butts of Lewisville and junior guard Devin Oliver of Rowlett. Both were star players on the school's women's basketball team.

They were killed in a car crash in Paris, Texas on Tuesday.

"I spoke to Devin's mom a few minutes ago. She asked me to share with all of you young people — take life seriously, because you never know when the next moment will be," said a speaker at the vigil.

Two teammates of Oliver and Butts -- La'Tisha Hearne of Richardson and Zenobia Winbush of Schertz -- were hurt, but survived the crash.
