Canton, Texas, folks not so happy with Colbert's slam

CANTON -- Some folks in the latest town called Canton that's targeted by TV comedian Stephen Colbert -- aren't happy about it.
A city councilman in Canton, Texas, thinks Colbert is a sucker.
Councilman John Fuller says if Colbert heads for Canton, about 55 miles southeast of Dallas, the elected official will "mash his nose."
Fuller spoke with the Tyler Morning Telegraph about the ongoing gag on the Comedy Central show "The Colbert Report."
Colbert has been taking pot shots at a variety of towns named Canton. It began when he referred to a Georgia town as "the crappy Canton."
Colbert then focused on Canton, Kansas, followed by Canton, South Dakota.
Canton, Texas, -- population of about 5,100 -- has invited Colbert to the town's famed monthly flea market called "First Monday Trade Days."
