Kimberly "Asma" Al-Homsi, left, and Aisha Abdul-Rahman Hamad were accused of acting suspiciously at Dallas Love Field.

ARLINGTON — She is on the terrorist watch list but authorities say she's been watching something else: local airports.

Then Monday, there was a standoff with police.

But Asma Al-Homsi tells News 8 she is not a terrorist.

"I don't know what this soot is from but they blew up my backpack here," Al-Homsi said.

Al-Homsi and her best friend Aisha Hamad got into a domestic dispute this week. They had to call the cops. Al-Homsi says her friend lost it.

"She was not in her right mind. She just had a nervous breakdown."

The SWAT team was called out and ended up having to fire a taser gun at Hamad. The Arlington fire department searched their home and says they found gun powder and items to make explosive devices.

"There is nothing listed there that shows I had any kind of bombs,"Al-Homsi added.

She showed us a list of items that include plastic pipes and plumbers' putty but does not list explosive devices. The Arlington Fire Department says they found enough materials in the home to cause concern and found a zip gun, which is a makeshift weapon that can fire a bullet.

Al-Homsi denies that.

"I am not a bad person, but they are trying to make me look like a vicious evil person."

News 8 first reported about the women back in April when they were questioned by the Dallas Police Department for allegedly scouting runways at Love Field with binoculars while dressed in camouflage pants and Muslim robes.

Police and the FBI have issued numerous alerts about the women.

Al-Homsi and Hamad say they are not terrorists and say authorities have driven them to the brink by continuously investigating them.

"This is pure harassment. They are trying to make us angry so we actually do something."

Police say the women continuously act suspiciously and bring the scrutiny on themselves. Now they face felony charges. Al-Homsi and Hamad say they will fight the charges.
