Two weeks after a teenager was found dead in his room, Euless police arrested an acquaintance for supplying him a deadly dose of illegal drugs.

Taylor Craig Marks, 16, of Euless, died April 6 at his home on Essex Place.

Police said the Colleyville Heritage student had told friends he had taken the prescription drugs Xanax and methadone the day before. Taylor told a friend that he had taken nine pills and smoked marijuana, the affidavit states.

Another teen sold him the drugs after stealing them from family members, according to a search warrant affidavit.

The friend, also 16, of Colleyville was arrested last week on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance and could face additional charges, police said.

“Depending on the results of the autopsy, specifically, the toxicology results, there could be other charges,” said Euless police Lt. Wayne Pavlik. “We are very early in the investigation.”

Police have searched the Colleyville teen’s home for prescription drugs Xanax, hydrocodone, oxycontin as well as bank records, computer files and address books.

The Colleyville teen told other students that he had sold Taylor nine to 10 prescription pills. He said the pills were weak and buyers could ingest a lot of them, the affidavit states.

The Colleyville teen also told a classmate that he was sad about Taylor's death and wondered if he should dispose of the remaining pills.

On April 12,  police found empty prescription bottles in trash bags at the Colleyville home.
