There was a lot of damage to the store.
A Pasadena police cruiser crashed into the parlor while customers were inside.
It happened around 10:45 p.m. Monday at at the Twisted Southside Tattoo and Piercing shop at Spencer Highway and Preston.
There's a lot of debris, broken glass and twisted metal left at the scene, and many repairs will need to be made.
The police car was towed away, but two other cars were backed into the open space, apparently so no one else could enter the store.
The police officer was headed west on Spencer Highway when a car going eastbound turned in front of him. The officer said in order to avoid hitting that oncoming car, he swerved but lost control, sliding into the store.
Some of the customers inside the store at the time were getting tattoos.
"I was in the back, sitting in the chair," customer Chris Michie said. "We got halfway done with it, then we heard a big crash, and we stopped. The cop car was sitting halfway through the middle of the shop."
No one was injured, but the male driver was turning to come to the tattoo parlor. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, and police said when they opened his car door, they smelled marijuana.
