Father sought in death of two teens
08:22 AM CST on Wednesday, January 2, 2008
Irving police are searching for a man suspected in the deaths of two teenage sisters, one of whom called 911 from a cell phone near the spot where the girls were later found.
Police said they were looking for the girls' father, Yaser Abdel Said, and in a statement said the man was a suspect in the girls' deaths.
About 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Irving police received a 911 call from a woman saying she had been shot, but she could not say where she was. The call originated near O’Connor Road and Riverside Drive, which is where officers were sent, but were unable to locate anything suspicious.
An hour later, police received another call from someone reporting a suspicious taxicab in a parking lot in the 200 block of Las Colinas Boulevard, which is about a half-mile from where the victim called. Inside, police said they found Sarah Yaser Said, 17, and her sister Amina Yaser Said, 18, both of Lewisville.
It was unclear which woman made the 911 call. Anyone with information about the slayings should call Irving police at 972-721-2518.
