HOUSTON, Texas -- Police are searching for a missing toddler who was kidnapped when someone stole his mother’s SUV from a gas station parking lot in southeast Houston.

Officials say it happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Scott and Yellowstone.

Upon arrival, police say a woman told them her 1999 silver Jeep Cherokee was stolen with her 21-month-old boy inside. The jeep has a Texas License Plate of GLL 151.

The mother told police she ran inside the gas station to use the ATM and left her vehicle running with the child inside.

Officials say the SUV was last seen driving north on Scott.

Anyone with information on the suspect, the toddler or the vehicle is asked to call 911.
