ARLINGTON, Texas — An Arlington Lamar High School senior is using her passion for photography to take a stand against bullying.

Amanda Bueno marked the anniversary of her "Love is Louder" photo shoot on Sunday.

You may remember her story from last year. Bueno joined the national movement after criticism over her weight nearly drove her to suicide.

She fought back and wrote a letter to school leaders, giving others like her a voice.

"I got seven of my friends together, and we just took some pictures for anti-bullying," Bueno said. "It kind of got really big within the people that went to my school, and then it just kind of grew, and then the first story came out on the news, and it just got really, really big."

Bueno hopes her photos will encourage other students to stand up against bullying, and she wants to expand her efforts beyond photo shoots.
