SAN ANTONIO -- It didn't take long for a massive fire to totally consume a house on the east side early Monday morning.
The fire started at around 2:30, but by the time fire crews arrived on the scene the building was completely engulfed.
Flames were seen shooting out of an abandoned house on S. Pine and Fredonia.
Two homes next to the fire had to be evacuated, but those people were allowed back in once the fire was put out.
The building appears to be a complete loss. SAFD is calling the fire suspicious, and Arson is investigating.
Officials say a fire that took place at an abandoned house early Sunday night at Clark and Porter was arson. There are reports that someone was seen throwing a Molotov cocktail at that house.
At this time it has not been determined if the two fires are related.
